Principles in instrument making
The leading principle in making a new instrument is to make as good sounding instrument as possible which represents the high quality handicraft at the same time. In addition to the Great Masters like Antonio Stradivari and Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesù he has master makers like Giuseppe Ornati and Ferdinando Garimberti as example. He uses only the best possible and most beautiful tonewood and fittings.
At first he calculates the density of the back and top materials, puts them in proportion to the dimensions of the instrument and determines the optimum weights and tap tones.
The production consists of normal new instruments varnished either with spirit or oil varnish and also instruments treated to look as old ones.
